Happy New Years!

Well my scrappy peeps, here we are at the end of another year. Can you believe how fast this year went by? I know I sure can't! I haven't been in much of a mood for being creative lately...hopefully my mojo will return soon in the new year. Just thought I would share a few photos that I took over the holidays.

November Card Swap

WOW....Can you believe that it is December!!!! I better get my butt in gear for Christmas!

Just wanted to share with you my cards for the Scraptures November card swap. This month's theme was snowmen. Here is the card that I made for Amy (stuck@home). I made it with my Gyspy and Cricut following this tutorial on Everyday Cricut. I think it turned out pretty darn cute and I will be making more of these in the future.

Maywood Craft Show

Morning friends! 

Just wanted to let you know that 3 Scrappy Friends will be at the Maywood Craft Show today from 10-3 at Maywood Public School {140 Haig St} in St Catharines. There is a goodie bag of stuff from the vendors for the first 50 people through the doors.

Scrapfest Oshawa 2012

Last weekend I, along with Chelle and Laurie, was helping Christa in the Scraptures booth at Scrapfest in Oshawa. We had such a good time. Here are a few pictures from the weekend...sorry about the quality, they are from my phone.

She did not know that we had made the t-shirts until Saturday when we took our hoodies off at the show!

Christa with her birthday dessert. The wait staff even sang Happy Birthday to Christa....much to her chagrin. She turned a lovely shade of pink...about the same as her shirt. :)

All in all it was a wonderful weekend with my Besties & I can't wait for the Kitchener show in April.

Card Swap

Over at Scraptures, we hold a monthly card swap. Members sign up and are given matches...you only know who you are making the cards for, not who is making you cards. Each month is themed and this month's theme was fall leaves. You could interpret that any way you liked...colour, leaves, etc.

I was given our fearless leader's name, Christa. Here is the card that I made for her...

Yesterday I got my card in the mail...YAY...happy mail! It was a lovely step card made by Amy (aka stuck@home). Here is her card.

More Step Cards

I had to make 2 1ST Birthday Cards for this weekend....our friend's twins are turning one! So hard to believe. Here are the cards that I made for them.

Should keep this short, as I'm getting ready to head off to Scrapfest in Oshawa with Scraptures. Should be a great weekend.

Dedication Cards

Wow.....long time....no post!!!!

But TBH (or to be honest) I really haven't been "Vary Scrappy" lately.

We are going to Whitby on Sunday for our friend's babies (yes...plural) dedication on Sunday. Here are the cards that I made to go with the gifts.

I found the cross on my Gypsy in the Indie Art Cricut cartridge. Really happy with the way they turned out. 

The sentiment reads as follows;

Scraptures National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop

This Saturday, May 5th is National Scrapbooking Day and Scraptures is hosting a National Scrapbooking Day Blog Hop AND an on-line day crop on the forums! Join us for all the fun and excitement. The design team will be using a sketch from Creative Scrappers for the hop and have lots of fun challenges planned on the forums. 

The excitement on the blog will start on May 5th at 8am and you have until Sunday May 6th at 8pm to complete the hop, choose a design team member's layout to scrap lift and post a link to it on the Scraptures blog.

Scraptures March Card Swap

K....so monthly at Scraptures, we so a 1 on 1 card swap. Basically you sign up and are given someone to make a card for (but they don't know who it is until the card comes in the mail). We are also given a theme in which the card is to be made. March's theme was "Thinking of You"

April's 1 on 1 swap is "Flowers". I have mine made (but you will have to wait to see it!) ....just have to pop it in the mail. Can't wait to see what I get!

My niece Erica turned 7 last month. Unfortunately, we were unable to get together for her birthday, so she got her present today. Here is the card that I made for her. The sentiment inside reads "If you are what you eat, eat something cute"

Scrappin' With a Passion Charity Crop

Well, last Saturday, me and my peeps {AKA Christa, Chelle, Amy, Norma, Laurie & Thursa} headed off to Grimsby for the 3rd Annual Scrappin' With a Passion Charity Crop with all proceeds going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.The crop was from 9:30 until 8, but I had to leave at 7 as my son's band had a gig that night. I was able to get 8 layouts done in the time I was there.

All in all a great day!

Centre Step Card

Here is another challenge post by Donna on Scraptures. It is a Centre Step Card and is actually a lot easier than I thought! Again I am very happy with the way this turned out and will be doing more of these ones too!
